About the brand look of the World Weightlifting Championship

Under the leadership of our honorable President great work is being done to develop sports in Turkmenistan. By hosting the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in 2017 Turkmenistan proved its ability to organize high-level events and became the center of sports. Based on the positive results of the international policy conducted by the President in 2018 our country was deemed worthy of holding another big sports festival. Our capital Ashgabat will host the World Weightlifting Championship which will be held from November 1 to 10 of this year. This international competition which will attract the attention of the whole world will be another opportunity to show our country's love for sports. Under the leadership of the President our capital Ashgabat turned the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games into a historic event. Likewise great efforts are being made to make the World Weightlifting Championships a highly organized and memorable event.

The logo of the World Weightlifting Championship called 'Ashgabat 2018' was approved by the President himself. The logo of the World Weightlifting Championship was designed by the specialists of the private company 'Belli Izher' which is the leader of the national design industry. The previous designs of the private company 'Belly Decoration' motivated to gather new experience. The specialists of this private enterprise also developed and prepared the script of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games 'Ashgabat 2017' which became famous in the world last year.

Dayanch Babayev art director of Belli Creative Studio: — The logo of the World Weightlifting Championship called 'Ashgabat 2018' was inspired by our national flag and it has an abstract image of a weightlifting athlete.

To create the brand image first of all we referred to the President's book 'Elegance of the Throne'. The well-known names about Turkmen lakes and patterns in it gave a great impetus to the creation of the brand image of the World Weightlifting Championship. The brand image was created on the basis of a system that can be used in any size and in different locations. We have created a harmonious blend of our national carpet patterns and modern graphics. We have tried to use the colors of our national flag and carpet patterns appropriately. With their modern and eye-catching tones unique color shades have been created. The concept is complemented by several graphic illustrations of weightlifting athletes. In general a national brand image is created that reflects the memorization persistence and dynamics of this sport.

First of all the brand image and brand graphics which will be installed at the Ashgabat International Airport in prominent places of the city in the Olympic Campus and at the main entrance of the competition venue will create an atmosphere of the World Weightlifting Championship for competitors and spectators.

The main competition area inside the facility has all the trappings to host the World Weightlifting Championship at international and global standards. The brand graphics will create great enthusiasm among the athletes and show the high level of organization of the competition live to the whole world.

Various gift items decorated with the brand image will serve as souvenirs from the World Cup for our compatriots and foreign guests who will watch the competition.
